New Video - Beyonce's Run The World (Girls)

This recent song "Run The World (Girls)" by Beyonce has had many people a bit surprised at the direction she took this time, being that the music is of Caribbean decent... Actually it is from an old reggae riddim. I wasn't feeling the song. Then I saw this video last night. I liked her dancing but the song still isn't her best.

Honestly, Bey get back to the old you. We have all seen what you can do and this is not it. The video was passable and the song..... The jury is still out on that.

St. Lucia Carnival - Marie Anne's Black Cinderella

It is that time again! Carnival time in St. Lucia. I am not much of a carnival fan but I know some of you may be interested in it. I will therefore be posting videos of soca songs for St. Lucia Carnival 2011 for all those who are interested.

Sweet Aaliyah Dana Haughton

I am currently watching/listening to as many of Aaliyah's videos/songs as I can get my hands on. Her music touched me in so many ways as a teenager. 4 Page Letter gave me the courage to write my feelings for a boy on paper. One In A Million made me hope to find that special guy who would love me like no other. Try Again made me dust myself off and try again if I failed at something. We Need A Resolution made me a little wiser about disputes in relationships. More Than A Woman gave me the strength and courage to be a great woman. Then, Rock The Boat continues to this day to make me shed tears for her, as this was the last music video she made before her tragic plane crash.

You touched so many lives with your great music and your classic appeal. She was beautiful, smart and a great dancer. It's just a shame that all that talent had to be taken away from us at such a young age, but God always knows best.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton, you were an angel on earth. Continue to rest in paradise with God and the angels in heaven. We continue to miss you as if it were yesterday, more than a decade later.

I will forever listen to your songs and watch your videos because I was truly one of your biggest fans!

Trey Songz For St. Lucia Jazz Festival

My boo Trey Songz will be performing at Saint Lucia Jazz Festival this year! I am soooo excited! He's an artist I admired greatly and always wished to see him perform live and I do get this opportunity on Saturday May 7th, 2011 at Pigeon Island. Am I excited or what?

When I first listened to this song way before the video I was a bit unimpressed but then after listening to it a few times it kind of grew on me. I personally think Jabar is a cutie and he has my support.

Trey Songz...Yuuup!

As per Trey Songz's manager Kevin Liles, not only will Trey be releasing his next album on 14 September 2010 but he will also be a co-star on a BET reality show alongside Young Jeezy to air on June 27th, right before the BET awards.

Trey Songz is such a beautiful creature. Words just cannot describe his sexiness. Not only is he sexy but he has a voice to match, a great combination!

Trey's recent music videos, his performance with Toni Braxton on the Soul Train Awards & his hot magazine photo shoots still have me wondering..... Let us not even go there!

I look forward to seeing another side of Trey on his upcoming reality show, are you?

On Wednesday 07 April 2010, Dondria & Jermaine Dupri appeared on 106 & Park to debut the video. I loved the song way before the video and the video just makes it even better.

For her first music video I'd have to rate it 10/10!

So it's official! Not only is Keyshia Cole going to be a mom, she's also going to be a wife!

Keyshia is engaged to Cleveland Cavaliers player, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson who is also the father of her unborn child.

I have never seen her glow as much as I have since these two got together. I wish them all the best and I pray that everything works out for the better for them.

Diggy Simmons' First Mixtape!

Diddy

Sean Combs aka Diddy was said to have lost his $20,000 ring while recording an episode of BET's 106 & Park last week, because he was "making it rain" in the studio. Audience members after the show tweeted that when the cameras were off and the show was done, Diddy had his security search every last person before they could leave the studio.

Now this is some pure bullshit! Is it my fault that you were trying to show off Diddy? Is it my fault that you are an asshole, Diddy? Why are you trying to act like losing the ring is such a big issue when what it's worth is pocket change for you?

Black people always eff it up! I used to like you Diddy but ever since Shyne's been out, what's in the dark has been coming out in the light.

To the person who was lucky to get that ring, I don't condone stealing but kudos to you! Pay some bills and put the rest in the bank. Don't be like them basic ass black folk that would spend all in one night!

I know that everyone knows the rapper "Shyne" has been released from prison. I just cannot believe that Sean Combs aka "Diddy" would lie to the whole world saying that he kept in touch and/or visited Shyne while he was incarcerated. Did he not expect the cat to get out of the bag at some point?

Come on now Diddy! Did you really think Shyne would not let the world know that you're a damn liar? And keep in mind Diddy, that you are going straight to hell for what you did to Shyne and those other victims.

Mecca (Keen Cotter) - Never Enough Music Video

I have been blogging about all those American artists but I didn't forget one of my own Lucian artists by the name of Keen Cotter aka Mecca.

Though I am not really into my own local music I must admit there's something that draws me to Mecca's music. And to make it better, when you get to know him you might be surprised to find out that he is a very down to earth person as well.

I keep Mecca in my prayers so that he can put St. Lucia on the map like Rihanna did for Barbados. Mecca is very talented and I support him 200% in everything he does and will do in the future.

Prince Sammie :-)

I love a lot of artists but I must admit that Sammie aka The Prince of R&B is my all time favourite artist. I love this 22 year old to death! My dream someday is to be Mrs. Sammie Bush! Yup, you read it here! I wanna be Mrs. Sammie Bush! Hey, a girl can dream can't she?

On a more serious note Sammie is the best R&B artist, no doubt! I'm very unhappy that his talent is overlooked and he's under appreciated. I mean these days you don't even need to be talented to get recognized as long as you're pretty and/or sexy because sex sells these days.

I have been watching Sammie's live ustreams forever and a day and I can honestly say he truly loves his fans unlike some of those fake artists who are only in this industry for the money. They fail to realize that we the fans are the ones who make them rich! Without us they wouldn't be famous!

Sammie keeps it real with us. He keeps us updated on everything going on with StarCamp/Street Love. The StarCamp members to include Boogie, EZLEO, Merv & even Sammie's pup Bravo keep it real with us and we StarCampers love them all!
